Carrot apple grape juice is a whole-fruit juice made in a high-speed blender instead of a juicer: raw carrots, an unpeeled apple and seedless grapes are blended with cold water and ice until completely smooth. Nothing is cooked and no sweetener is added; the grapes and apple supply the sweetness. One blender load makes about 3 1/2 cups, or two large glasses.
Because the whole fruit goes in, the juice is thicker than juicer juice, somewhere between juice and a thin smoothie. It can be drunk as it is, or strained through a nut milk bag for a thin, clear-style juice. The ice keeps the blend cold while the blender runs, and the grapes go in first, since their juice helps pull the harder carrot and apple down into the blades.
Other raw blender drinks on the site include the strawberry banana smoothie and the purple almond banana cabbage smoothie. Like those, this juice is at its freshest made just before serving, from cold ingredients and well-washed produce. A small piece of fresh ginger or a squeeze of lemon can go into the blender for a sharper flavor.

Carrot Apple Grape Juice
Ingredients
Method
- Wash the grapes, apple and carrots well under cold running water, scrubbing the carrots with a vegetable brush. Pull the grapes from their stems, quarter and core the apple, and cut the carrots into chunks.
- Put the ingredients into the blender jar in this order: water, grapes, apple, carrots, then the ice on top. Secure the lid.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, raise it quickly to high and blend for 45 to 60 seconds, using the tamper if needed, until the juice is completely smooth with no visible bits of carrot.
- To drink it as whole juice, pour into glasses and serve right away.
- For a thinner juice, pour the blend into a nut milk bag held over a large bowl or pitcher, gather the top closed and squeeze firmly with clean hands until the pulp is fairly dry. Pour the strained juice into glasses, over more ice if wanted.
